Melissa & Bobby 5.18.13

Congratulations to Melissa and Bobby! Their wedding on Saturday, May 18th brought all of their family and friends together to celebrate their Marriage to one another, and supplied us with gorgeous pictures and great ideas to share! Their ceremony and reception was drenched in personal touches that were just small reflections of this beautiful couple.
Thank goodness for sunshine! Melissa and Bobby welcomed their guests to their beautiful outdoor ceremony with a sign reading "Welcome to our wedding! Please select a seat, Not a side..." giving a feeling of one big family! This is also a great example of how a chalk board can be used as elegant and unique signage for your guests. The aisle was lined with soft pink and white rose petals, while golden lanterns lit the path. Gorgeous!
Ok... we love this idea! The guests tables were labeled with names of cities, not numbers, so instead of using a traditional table chart the Bride and Groom used a Map of the World to display where their guests were seated. The charts was appropriately named "The Adventures of Melissa & Bobby".
We always encourage our brides to add a decor element to all of the tables, and this includes the place card table. Lanterns look familiar? They are the same kind used in the ceremony! The bride acquired these on her own and Sid from Flowers by Us creatively utilized him in the decor.
Gold, Pink and Ivory give off such a romantic, soft and elegant feel. These centerpieces by Flowers From Us, are just beautiful! The bride provided the chunky gold frames used for the table names. Instead of using numbers, our Bride and Groom decided to make this detail of their wedding something that was special to them, and shared with their guests a small piece of their lives together. This particular table was labeled "San Juan" and a short explanation of how the city is special to them is shown for their guests to enjoy. Love it!
More gold, pink and lanterns! Check out that gorgeous cake by Mark Brickman at Bakers Man.
Marina Miller at Event Drapery is responsible for the breathtaking drapes! We love how they show off the height of the ballroom and add a romantic touch to the room. These are not a must if you use the ballroom, but as you can see, they add that extra wow factor that just pulls the space together!
